One goat (minimum 25kg) for sacrifice. The meat is distributed to 25 recipients in need.

One cattle (whole) (minimum 200kg) for sacrifice. The meat is distributed to 175 recipients in need.

Locations for Qurban: Somali (Goat/ Sheep), Syria (Goat/ Sheep) or India (Cattle)

Understanding Qurban

The Fiqh ruling for Qurban (or Udhiyah) is that it is a Sunnah Mu'akkadah (an emphasized or highly recommended act of worship) for Muslims who are able to afford it. This means that it is not obligatory, but it is highly encouraged for those who meet the conditions.

The intention to offer Qurban must be for the sake of Allah. Ideally, the head of the household or the primary breadwinner performs Qurban for members of the family. 

Qurban is to be performed on the 10th - 13th day of DhulHijjah. It can be done at any time during these days.

The Sunnah acts for Sohibul Qurban (the person offering the Qurban) include:

1️⃣ Making a Sincere Intention – The Qurban should be offered solely for the sake of Allah, following the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim AS.

2️⃣ Refraining from Cutting Hair & Nails – From the 1st of Dhul Hijjah until the Qurban is performed, it is recommended that the Sohibul Qurban does not cut their hair or nails, as per the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. (Muslim, 1977)

3️⃣ Selecting a Healthy Animal – The animal must meet Shariah requirements, including being free from defects, reaching the minimum age, and being in good health.

• Only cattle, camels, sheep, or goats that are fit for Qurban are selected.

• The minimum age requirement for sheep and goats being at least one year old, and cattle at least two years old.

• Animals must be free from defects, including blindness, missing limbs, or chronic illnesses that render them unfit for human consumption.

• Humane treatment is ensured, from transportation to slaughtering, maintaining the dignity and welfare of the animals.

✅ Hygienic Processing & Distribution – After slaughter, the meat is handled with care, hygienically packed, and distributed to those in need, ensuring it reaches recipients in the best condition.
